So Qualcomm during its Snapdragon Summit event launched the forthcoming flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Chip on October 24 at 12:00 PM PST. The reports are indicating that this release is a month before the usual schedule. It is also expected that the chipset may have a new 1+5+2 architecture compared to the 1+2+2+3 in the present and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 series.
The company may provide the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 a single Cortex-X4 prime, five Cortex-A720, and two Cortex-A520 cores paired with Adreno 750 GPU. This time the L3 cache memory will be upgraded to 10MB. It is expected that the company will power upcoming flagship phones from diverse smartphone manufacturers.
Recent reports are stating that the processor may arrive in two variants; one for bigger screen devices such as laptops and tablets and the second for smartphones.
Qualcomm may manufacture it using a 4 nm fabrication process.
