Google Drive Introducing New “Activity” Feed On Web

Google is stretching the Drive’s area on the web through the latest update. Now, the company is adding a new Activity feed to its Drive to enhance the users experience. This seems a convenient step for users who want to perform a lot of files regarding actions. This new “Activity” feed will show all the pending access requests, recent comments, and approvals. 

Google, with this new update, offers ease to users by introducing an Activity feed in Google Drive, by which they are able to get access to all their pending requests, comments, and approvals without even any extra touch, quickly and more accurately. Google Drive permits users to store their files and access them from any device. 

On behalf of the update, the brand Google says the “Activity” feed will allow the users to quickly see recent file activity and then take action directly on the page. After upgrading the Drive, file names will appear in the left column along with the activity next to it. Then, It’s split into Access requests in the scenario, if any are available, Approvals, and Recent comments. 

At the right corner, blue buttons are placed, which allows the users to manage their access, Review, and Open comments. The comments section spans 30 days, whereas the items will “appear if the users are; 

  • Subscribed to notifications
  • Participating in the specific comment thread
  • Mentioned in a comment within that file 

This is a standalone page, which will appear in the sidebar between “Priority” and “Workspaces.” the brand is rolling out a new Activity feed in Google Drive over the upcoming weeks and noticeably is available to all Google Workspace customers.
