BGIS 2021 date officially revealed by Krafton

The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS), the largest-ever BGMI event, has released its schedule. The event will begin on December 4 and last for more than a month, finishing on January 16th. The tournament has a big prize fund of one crore rupees.

In-game qualifiers: The first stage of the event is open to everybody and will take place from December 4 to December 8. Each enrolled team shall play a total of 15 games. However, only the top 10 games will be considered for the final ranking. The top 1024 teams from this stage will advance to Stage 2.

Online Qualifiers: From the 16th to the 30th of December, eligible 1024 teams will compete in three-round online qualifiers, with only the top 64 moving on to the next round. 32 experienced teams will be invited straight to the third round of the online qualifications, where they will fight against the top 224 qualifying teams.

Quarter-Finals: From the 2nd to the 5th of January, the top 64 teams in the event will compete in a four-day QF. They will be grouped into four groups of 16 teams each, with each group competing in a best-of-six format. Each group’s top six teams will proceed to the Semi-Finals.

Semi-Finals: From January 7 to 10, the top 24 teams will be divided into three groups and participate in four-day semi-finals. The top 16 teams with the highest points will proceed to the championship round.

Grand Finals: The finals will include the country’s top 16 teams. They will compete in 20 rounds over four days, from the 13th to the 16th of January, to determine the final champion.

Registration closes on November 28th, and any Indian citizen over the age of 16 is eligible to participate. Players must have a BGMI account with a level of 15 or above and a ranking of at least Platinum V to register.

The event has sparked curiosity among BGMI fans around the country, and it will be intriguing to watch how the fresh talent performs against fan-favorite teams. Gamers must carefully study the regulations before enrolling, as even little errors might result in disqualification.
