Among Us Cosmicube update: New features, roles, outfits, and more

Among Us just received one of its most significant updates, providing new roles and abilities as well as laying the groundwork for players to gain new and exclusive cosmetics.

Among Us, developer Inner Sloth unveiled a big new “Roles & Cosmicube” update that is currently accessible in a Direct-style “Emergency Metting” presentation.

What are the new roles and features in Among Us Cosmicube update?

The most significant change in the update is the addition of four new Roles, which grant players specific skills that add new layers to the core murder concept. A list of the new positions may be seen below.

New roles

Scientist: The Scientist has access to a portable vitals panel and can check on the crew’s status. Because the portable vitals panel must be charged, they will be assigned a one-of-a-kind assignment to recharge the battery.

Engineer: The engineer may employ vents to travel faster and catch venting imposters in the act. Engineers, on the other hand, can’t stay in a vent indefinitely.

Guardian Angels: They are the ghosts of the first dead Crewmates who can briefly shield and protect other living Crewmates. Imposters can be stopped from murdering a victim if the Guardian Angel is summoned at the right time.

Shapeshifter: This impostor job allows a player to masquerade themselves as other Crewmates by changing their appearance. If done correctly, the Shapeshifter can falsely accuse another Crewmate of a crime they did not commit. However, the disguise does not endure long.

An improved cosmetic and customization option is another new inclusion with the update. To begin, visors and distinctive nameplates will be introduced so you may further customize your Crewmate.

In-game currency

Cosmetics could previously only be purchased with actual money. In the future, Among Us will include a new currency called Beans, which can only be obtained through playtime. Beans, along with another new money known as Stars, may be used to purchase new cosmetics in the Shop.

What is the Cosmicube?

Cosmicubes, a new Battle Pass-style advancement system, is also being added to Among Us. These Cosmicubes may be purchased in the Shop or awarded to players as prizes during promotions. When a certain Cosmicube is activated, users can receive Cosmicube-specific gifts by playing Among Us.

A Cosmicube has numerous routes, which means that players may spend their Pods in various ways to obtain different prizes. Players can have numerous Cosmicubes at the same time, but only one can be activated at a time.

Real money may still be utilized to purchase Stars, which are Among Us’ new premium currency. There are various new options for users to purchase or earn cosmetics, including Stars, Beans, and Cosmicubes.

The roles should give a new dimension to the popular Imposter gameplay in Among Us, while new cosmetic offers bring the game closer to titles like Fortnite, which have distinct recurring rewards and collaborations.
