Within the software update policy of Xiaomi, the mid-range and affordable devices are set to receive three Major OS updates and four years of security patch support, while the POCO X6 Pro is no different. In contrast, there are few smartphones that have received even a single OS updates with two years of security support.
Therefore, according to Xiaomi’s software update policy, the brand has promised that the POCO X6 Pro is all set to receive three Major OS updates, while launching with the latest Android 14-based HyperOS, out of the box, the device will be able to get the new refreshments and features up till Android 16. On the flip side, the device will get four years of security patches, possibly till 2028.
