Realme Will Coon Spin Off From OPPO And Operate Completely Independently

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo sub-brand Realme has recently emerged, which has gained a huge share in markets such as India, which has attracted the attention of the industry and consumers.

Chinese Media Titanium reported on November 29. According to technology media reports, Chung Hsiang-wei, chief commercial officer of Realme China regional branch, said that if realme’s business continues to expand. Realme may be independent of the parent company. He said that while continuing to share the existing resources of the parent company OPPO, Realme has formed its own R & D team and is expected to establish its own ecosystem and production line. It also worked on its own Realme UI which is based on ColorOS 7.

He pointed out that the Realme brand was established in 2018 and is now one of the top smartphone company in India markets. Only 18 months old company and it has entered more than 20 countries and regions including Indonesia, Spain, and Russia.

In terms of marketing strategies, Oppo and realme have not yet established a “complementary” pattern in the market. The two smartphone brands are aimed at different market segments.

He added that 60% of OPPO users are women and 60% of Realme users are men. and Also Oppo mainly focused on the offline market and Realme focused on the online market.

The executive added that today the Oppo brand is shifting to the high-end smartphone market, Realme is shifting to more technology and fashion-centric models, adding that Realme also plans to enter the wearable and wireless headset market.
