OnePlus has recently begun to roll out the OxygenOS 13.1 June 2023 security update for the premium OnePlus 11 phone with many useful changes and improvements. However, the changelog doesn’t highlight any major additions; a user described some hidden elements under the Security & Privacy menu in this iteration.
Recently, a OnePlus 11 smartphone user obtained the June 2023 update and observed a few noticeable changes under the Security & Privacy Settings. If you scroll down, you will notice that the Password & Security and Privacy menu are merged together with a new menu called the Security and Privacy.
OxygenOS 13.1 Security & Privacy
Now, you can see all the sections related to security and privacy, such as App Security, Device Lock, Google Security Check-Up, Find My Device, and more features. Apart from the security and privacy settings, you can also see some special features you can check below list:
- App Lock
- Hide App
- Private Safe
- System Cloner
Notable that the hide app feature was removed in the previous build, now this latest OxygenOS 13.1 June 2023 update brings back the Hide app, which allows you to hide apps and access them with a simple swipe from the left edge of the screen in the app drawer. Plus, the Hidden Space protest by the passcode or a pin.
Apart from this security and privacy feature, this update also brings a new feature under the Connection and sharing >> Multi-screen connect. Now you see a new option called Communication sharing.
