BGMI
Is ‘BGMI’ going to be banned again in India?
Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI, is the most popular and widely played battle royale game, with over millions of gamers engaged. Despite its popularity, there are some reports revealing the fact that this infamous game is moving towards its discontinuation. But is BGMI going to be banned again in India?
It’s been reported that the BGMI will be banned again in India, and a senior officer from the Union government’s cybersecurity division has given the recommendation of permanently discontinuing the BGMI app.
While behind this discontinuation, the most prominent factor is said to be the Pakistani entry of Seema Haider, who came to India to meet her BGMI partner, Sachin Meena. On the flip side, there were other crimes happening that were linked to the game, which has kept the security agencies on high alert, as it’s more or less possible that the data that has been collected through the BGMI app might also lead to several cyber crimes and could put our country’s security at a higher risk.
On the other hand, Krafton has yet to clear all the queries related to the BGMI banning, while it’s expected that the company might soon provide a significant response that will decide whether the BGMI is moving towards its discontinuation or not. Also, there are several examples that have certainly raised concern about people’s safety and security, including taking someone’s life by killing and excessive addiction to that game.
As mentioned, there were several reports regarding the discontinuation or banning of the app, but most prominently, the BGMI is playing with the user’s security and privacy and leaking the server information outside India.
