Elon Musk Offers Free Premium and Premium+ Subscriptions for X Users, But With a Twist!
Ever since Elon Musk took over the reins of X (formerly known as Twitter), people have witnessed the arrival of some useful yet advanced features and enhancements within this popularly used social media platform. As of now, the most surprising change was Twitter rebranding to X. In contrast, X has introduced several features over time, including the premium subscription plans. With that, Musk has officially announced that numerous accounts will get the free X premium and premium+ subscriptions, but there’s a small twist!
Elon Musk took it to X to announce that various X users will get the benefit of free premium and premium+ subscriptions, but the twist here is that over 2500 verified subscriber followers will get the benefit of free premium features. On the other hand, accounts with over 5000 followers will receive a Premium+ subscription that’s free of charge. This actually means that to be eligible for a free Premium X subscription, users should have over 2500 paid subscriber followers who are following them.
However, this new announcement will only benefit those users who have the aforementioned verified subscribers, while the majority of the users will not take advantage of this latest offer. Also, having over 2500 X verified followers is a gigantic task in itself. A few months ago, Musk claimed that X would take the platform fee of $1 in order to make this widely used social media platform grow, but this latest scheme is significantly pointing towards the increment of Premium verified users only.
Moreover, X offers a lot of interesting and impressive features, including various useful benefits of BlueTick or X-verified badges, intuitive editing options, new and unique features for users with X Premium subscriptions, and more. But the arrival of the new offer doesn’t seem to be impressive or useful for X users. In contrast, as of now, X is providing three different subscription plans, including Basic, which costs Rs. 390 per month, Premium, which costs Rs. 900 per month, and finally, Premium+, which is priced at Rs. 2150 per month, respectively.
