Google Android Security Bulletin April 2024 Is Now Official 

With the arrival of April, while it’s just the first week of the month, Google has released the latest Android Security Bulletin for April 2024. The latest update has been significantly packed with several essential security-related vulnerabilities and malfunctions that are adversely affecting Android phones’s security and performance. 

Google is currently rolling out its latest Android Security Bulletin for April 2024, which brings details of security malfunctions affecting the performance and security of Android phones while also holding up certain security weaknesses that are significantly applied to the security patch level dated April 1, 2024. This means that soon after installing the latest security patch, all the security-related vulnerabilities on Android devices will be resolved. 

The security weaknesses introduced with the latest April 2024 Security Bulletin are significantly grouped within the components they adversely affect. Therefore, each component is lined up with their specific CVEs, which generally consist of several bug fixes. Also, the new security bulletin brought up the 2024-04-01 security patch level, which will certainly help in improving performance and security-related issues through numerous optimizations within system stability, security, and overall performance, respectively. 

A lot of bug fixes have been brought up in the latest Android Security Bulletin for April 2024, with the specific CVEs for each security vulnerability listed below:

  • Framework CVEs: 4 Fixes
  • System CVEs: 4 Fixes
  • MediaTek component CVEs: 3 fixes
  • Widevine CVEs: 1 Fix
  • Qualcomm component CVEs: 2 Fixes
  • Qualcomm closed-source component CVEs: 14 fixes
