Pixel VPN by Google Is Now Live for Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, and Pixel Fold Owners with the Latest Android’s Beta Builds

Google, a couple of weeks ago, announced that the VPN by Google One is ceasing completely beginning on June 20th, while it will be replaced by the Pixel VPN by Google. Now, several Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, and Pixel Fold owners have already started getting the new Pixel VPN by Google on their respective Pixel devices.

Meanwhile, on the Google Play Store, the VPN by Google One app or service, which will now be named Pixel VPN by Google, is listed as already installed with either the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 or the Android 15 Beta 2.2 build. However, last week, several Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, and Pixel Fold owners noticed that while launching the app, Google was presenting an error: VPN by Google One is not available for this account.

Pixel VPN by Google is now going live for Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, and the Pixel Fold users:

With that, several Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a, and Pixel Fold owners were seamlessly able to sign up and use the VPN service while also not getting those persistent notifications, and the VPN key symbol is also appearing on the status bar. It’s important to note that Google will further add a new VPN tile to the Quick Settings and will significantly replace the old VPN by Google One shortcut.

Moreover, through the VPN shortcut placed in the Quick Settings, Google states that the new version of VPN by Google One will offer a more optimized performance and interactive experience to the users. However, while initiating the downloading process on an Android running Android 14 QPR2 build through the Google Play Store listings, I presented a message that said, “This app is not compatible with this app.
