Spotify will soon get the Gemini Extension
Google is now tasking Gemini Extension to integrate services across all apps. The Gemini Extension will include all kinds of features in all the apps used by people, along with AI chatbots. Earlier, the company announced the rollout of the YouTube Music Extension, which will allow users to search for and control music on YouTube Music.
Similarly, Google is also going to expand the functionality of Spotify soon to provide a better experience for searching, playing, and controlling music. This has been confirmed by a string within the Google app v15.22.29.29.arm64, which shows that Google is also working on the Spotify Extension. However, the company is going to release this extension in almost all apps, where many features can be found under AI.
Google has also used this extension recently with Google Workspace and Google Maps. However, it has not been rolled out widely till now, and it is currently handling the workload of testing. It is expected that this will help in getting summarized answers from your own content and also provide location-based information without any errors.
At the same time, YouTube Music extension also lets you search and play music through a better audio streaming service in which you can enjoy your entertainment without advertisement along with better music. It is not yet confirmed whether this feature is available to users or not. Spotify will also get the same features and it is currently being developed for beta testing as well as will be launched in the future.
