Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO is evolving rapidly, bringing smartphones with some of the of the best possible features and functionalities that are highly admired by the audience. Meanwhile, the brand is eyeing expanding its Pad series. The brand has already unveiled its POCO Pad globally, and now this highly anticipated tablet is probably going to make its way to the Indian market, as the newest POCO Pad has just fleshed out the BIS certifications. 

POCO’s first ever tablet, the POCO Pad, has already been introduced globally and is infused with several amazing features and specifications. However, the brand launched the Wi-Fi-only model in the global market. Now, it seems like POCO is planning to launch the newest POCO Pad with 5G connectivity. This inaugural tablet is soon going to make its way to the Indian market, courtesy of BIS certifications.

The POCO Pad 5G has just fleshed out the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification listings with a model number of 24074PCD2I; here ‘I’ denotes the Indian model and also suggests that the POCO Pad is arriving in India soon. The latest BIS listings of the POCO Pad only reveal that the tablet is the 5G connectivity variant; however, no other details have been disclosed. 

In addition, the POCO Pad 5G could feature similar features and specifications as the Redmi Pad Pro 5G, as this Redmi tablet was recently spotted on China’s TENNA certification. In contrast, as far as the specifications of the new POCO Pad, if it’s a rebranded version of the Redmi Pad Pro, then the POCO Pad could come with a 12.1-inch 120Hz display with 600 nits peak brightness. The tablet could be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, which is backed by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

Besides that, the tablet is likely to ship with the latest Xiaomi HyperOS-based Android 14 out of the box. The POCO Pad might come with a massive 10,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Furthermore, with regards to the camera system, the tablet might be equipped with 8 MP front and rear cameras, respectively.
