The Gemini Nano is now for the Pixel 8s.
Google has now expanded the Gemini Nano to its flagship models, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8a, with the latest feature drop. It’s the most efficient AI-powered model, which is significantly built for solving everyday tasks. The new Gemini Nano is now available as a developer option on both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8a. You can easily enable the developer option on your Pixel device by heading to Settings >> About Phone >> Tap Build Number 7 times >> Enter your screen lock >> Developer option is enabled.
Google’s Recorder app gets AI-powered summaries.
Google adds a Summarize option in the Recorder app that is powered by Gemini on the Pixel 8 and 8a devices. Considering that, now the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, and Pixel 8a owners will be able to have much more detailed summaries that could easily be downloaded, while the Gemini capabilities will help to detect and include the names of the speakers for further improving the conversational transcripts.
More fun with the connected display:
Users can now enjoy their favorite entertainment on a bigger screen, giving them more space to easily enjoy their favorite movies or shows. Now the Pixel 8, Pixel 8a, and Pixel 8 Pro owners will be able to display their content on a bigger screen like a monitor while plugging it in via a USB-C cable.
Locate offline devices using Find My Device:
Google’s helpful feature Find My Device has received a more advanced upgrade, which will now allow Pixel users to easily locate or track their device even when it’s off or the battery is dead. This, in turn, keeps all your location data encrypted and private from Google’s servers. This feature is available for Pixel 8 Pro, 8 and Pixel 8a users.
HDR+ Improved Frame Selection:
The Pixel’s camera can now automatically detect your best moments within your photos in HDR+ while simply pressing the shutter button. This makes it easier for the camera to select the best frame for your photo and focus on your face when it’s smiling, while also bringing the best out of your picture. This capability is now available in the Pixel 8 Pro, 8, 8a, Pixel Fold, 7 Pro, 7, 7a, 6 Pro, 6, and the Pixel 6a, respectively.
Reverse Phone Number Lookup:
To boost anti-spam calling measures, Google has now introduced a new reverse phone number lookup. From now onwards, when an unknown number calls you that’s not present on your contact list, you will now get a new button that will offer you to do a reverse phone number search directly from your call log. This capability is now available in the Pixel 8 Pro, 8, 8a, Pixel Fold, 7 Pro, 7, 7a, 6 Pro, 6, and the Pixel 6a, respectively.
Easily save and access your requirements via Google Wallet:
Google has just expanded the Google Wallet functionalities in India, as this will now allow users to easily store and access their everyday boarding passes, shopping cards, loyalty cards, tickets, transport tickets, gift cards, and much more.
Manual Lens Selection:
Available to the Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Fold, 7 Pro, and 6 Pro, users will now be able to manually choose the camera lens they want to use while capturing photos, ensuring the perfect shot without having to use those boring presets present in the viewfinder.

While someone is knocking on your door, you will now get much improved doorbell notifications on your Pixel Tablet when your tablet is in hub mode, providing you with a snapshot of who is knocking on your front door. Plus, you can either talk to them using two-way talk or just send a quick response.
Smart Home favorites:
Google now adds the new Google Home Favorites widget to its Pixel Tablet, which will allow you to have easier access to your compatible smart home devices. This will offer quick yet customizable smart home controls on your tablet’s home screen, allowing you to turn on lights or play speakers with just a single tap.
