After the success of Nothing Phone 2a and its software, the brand is set to bring Nothing OS 3.0 to the market, and this device can also come with Nothing Phone 2a Community Edition. The teaser post confirms how this new OS looks, and it also adds lock screen customization and interactive dot animations.
According to the video shared, the company can redesign the lock screen interface by adding more functionalities to this upcoming device. It also has three different lock screen styles for the user: default, clock and widget, and extended widget area.
The default style of this style will show only the clock, date, and day. At the same time, the clock and widget styles will also show the clock in dotted font, along with the weather widget, contact widget, and shortcut for quick actions. But the clock and widget type styles have also been expanded, with large tiles in the extended widget area.
However, the company has not confirmed any other features, but these three styles make it interactive and aesthetically appealing. The upcoming Nothing OS 3.0 may include a new native gallery and community app. It is expected that the company is planning to promote the glyph interface by improving UI uniformity for a better user experience with the new addition.
According to Carl Pei, OS 3.0 will not be announced until September 2024. It is being speculated that this OS system can be seen in Nothing 3A or that it will also be released in the older model 2A through an update.
