Nothing Phone 2a Plus may come with a better processor and other improvements
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is set to launch on July 31. The handset is also spotted on BIS and TDRA certification with the model number A142P. This confirms that the smartphone will launch globally soon. The Nothing Phone 2a Plus was launched earlier this year, and this upcoming phone is expected to have better features than before.
Nothing co-founder Akis Evanelidis recently revealed in an X post that the “Nothing Phone 2a Plus will be an “improved version” of the Nothing Phone 2a and claimed that the upcoming Phone 2a Plus would come with “more processing power” and some other “improvements that won’t require any hardware design changes.”
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is tipped to be powered by a more powerful chipset than the Media Tek Dimensity 7200 Pro that powers the Nothing Phone 2a model. The upcoming handset will remain unchanged in design and is expected to share many of its specifications with Nothing 2a.
To recall, the Nothing Phone 2a features a 6.7-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Full-HD+ resolutions of 1080 x 2412 pixels, and an AMOLED screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The handset may be powered by an octa-core 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC for the processor and relies on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 for software. It houses two 50 MP sensors on the back and a 32 MP sensor on the front. The phone is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
