BGIS 2021 scrims: Teams, format, schedule, and more revealed
The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021, the first official open BGMI tournament, is just around the way. The new schedule of the event, which boasts a genuinely large prize pool of INR 1 crore, was issued a few days ago after a protracted break caused by a spike in cheats in the game.
The inaugural episode of Chai Time, a BGMI chat program, aired yesterday, according to officials. BGMI influencers GHATAK, Thug, and Ocean Sharma appeared on the much-anticipated chat show. Mazy, a popular BGMI caster, hosted the conversation show, where they discussed the upcoming BGIS 2021 event in depth.
With the announcement of an official scrims event named BGIS 2021: The Grind, the two-week tournament, which will include 32 invited teams, will serve as a practice session for the teams prior to the commencement of the big event.

It should be noted that the teams mentioned above are only invited to the BGIS 2021: Grind scrimmage. The official BGIS 2021 event’s 32 invited teams are yet to be disclosed.

BGIS 2021 Schedule & Format: The Grind
The 32 invited teams will be divided into four groups and will compete in a two-week round-robin style. Week 1 will be held from December 2 to 5, while Week 2 will be conducted from December 9 to 12. In the forthcoming two-week tournament, the teams will compete for a total of eight days.
Along with the Grind, authorities published the schedule for the three rounds of the BGIS Online Qualifiers. The timetable is as follows:
Round 1 (November 16 to 19): 1024 teams will compete and 512 teams will qualify. Each team will get to play two matches.
Round 2 (November 21 to 24): 512 teams will compete and 224 teams will qualify. Each team will get to play two matches.
Round 3 (November 27 to 30): 256 (224 qualified and 32 invited) will compete and 64 teams will qualify for the Quarter Finals. Each team will get to play three matches.
Fans are excited to see the first-ever BGMI National level competition that is going to begin soon on December 4, 2021.
