T-Mobile OnePlus 8 and 8T getting February 2022 security update
Recently, OnePlus announced the OxygenOS 12 beta program for OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T, and OnePlus 9R globally which you can download here if you are using unlocked global devices.
However, T-Mobile will definitely roll out the Android 12 update for their OnePlus smartphones but it will take time. Now OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8T are receiving the Android February 2022 security patch on T-Mobile in the USA.
OnePlus Android 12 update rolled out for these smartphones [OxygenOS 12 & ColorOS 12]
This is a normal security update that comes with OxygenOS version 11.0.7.9.IN55CB for OnePlus 8 and 11.0.15.17.KB09CB for OnePlus 8T. You can see the changelog and download link below.
Changelog:
- A new software update is available for your Android Smartphone.
- This release includes the following:
- Android security patch upgraded to February 2022
- If you choose not to do so now, the update will take place AUTOMATICALLY between 12AM and 6AM starting March 2nd, 2022.
- Data rates may apply.
- Please do not turn off your device while the update is installing.
- During Installation you cannot use your device at all, even to dial 9-1-1.
