Samsung terminated the Galaxy Note series lineup officially: All you need to know

Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S22 series worldwide. The new Samsung flagships will go on sale very soon in India. Samsung launched three flagship smartphones under the S22 series.

While the S22 and S22+ share the same design as their predecessors, the S22 Ultra got a major makeover. Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 Ultra with a boxy design and an S Pen slot that reminds you of the Galaxy Note series.

There were rumours of Samsung discontinuing the Note series and today, Samsung has officially confirmed the death of the Note lineup. However, one of the key characteristics of the Note series will remain.

Samsung has terminated the Galaxy Note series officially. The company’s smartphone CEO Roh Tae-moon announced the end of the Galaxy Note series. The top executive informed reporters (via The Verge) at MWC 2022 that the “Galaxy Note will come out as Ultra.”

In case you haven’t realized this yet, Tae-moon was referring to the Galaxy S22 Ultra as the new Note. With the addition of an S Pen slot, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has all the capabilities that Samsung’s Galaxy Note series delivers in a smartphone. These include a huge display, solid performance, software changes for the S Pen that increase productivity levels, premium camera sensors, etc.

Samsung released the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra as their final Galaxy Note series smartphone in 2020. The Note series was later replaced by Samsung’s futuristic foldable range of smartphones. The newest pair of foldable smartphones from the brand are the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3.

The business is believed to add an S Pen slot in the Z Fold 4 this year. Therefore, while Samsung has discontinued the renowned Galaxy Note series, the effect is not as heavy given the fact that the Galaxy S22 Ultra delivers all that you need from a Galaxy Note.
