Report: Samsung and Apple to switch to silicon carbon batteries

Samsung and Apple are the top manufacturers of smartphone segments, which have been competing with each other for a long time, but now due to the fact that smartphone manufacturers are also innovating with time they are also creating more pressure for the devices. Now they are getting pressure to move on to new battery technology.

As of now, the Chinese manufacturers are already working on developing big batteries that are exceeding to 6000 mAh with the silicon carbon batteries. Samsung and Apple are still with other older technology and are still limited at 5000 mAh. even for the flagship devices like Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 ultra series devices.

According to the report, yeux1122, Navar claims that Samsung will initiate the material development of silicon-carbon batteries. But currently there is no clarity if the technology will be available for commercial devices.

For your information, silicon batteries have higher energies, which essentially provide the batteries with bigger capacities. Along with this, the update will provide more balancing battery life with performance.

Let’s hope Samsung and Apple will soon bring the bag batteries to their flagship devices. To counter the competition, the company will provide atleat increse battery of 6000 mAh or more.
