Samsung’s latest flagship officially supports Qi 2.1 charging
Samsung hasn’t focused on bringing extra enhancements to the changing speed of its flagship devices and stuck with the 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging on Qi2 support. Now the company has brought latest technology of Q1 2.1 support with the Galaxy S25 series devices.
Samsung gets edge in wireless charging over other smartphones
According to the report, the Galaxy S25 series are the first devices that are coming with Qi 2.1 devices which will provide some new changes that will improve the overall security of the devices. Meanwhile, if we talk about other Android smartphones, the HMD is one of the devices that comes with Q1 2.0.0 support, which is the previous generation.
Under this development, the Qi2 tech support will make the way to 50W support, however, Samsung has limited it for only 15W. Notably, Qi2.1 is the latest standard for wireless charging, which also bring the utility to be used with the magnetic case of the device. Moreover, it opens the door for Samsung to bring more powerful charging on their devices in the future.
However, it doesn’t bring any significant benefit to the consumers as they have to buy the dedicated magnet cases for their devices, but the firm can bring more selling products in the form of magnetic cases. Nevertheless, due to the compatibility, users who have the MagSafe charger is be usable with the Galaxy devices and also bring more options as third-party chargers.
