Google rolls out Android 16 beta 1 update for pixel devices
Google has introduced the Android 16 prev in the last two months, and after serving the beta to the developers, now with the latest development, it is expected the company has started the public testing software with the beta1. Let’s know what’s new coming with the new update.
Android 16 beta 1: what’s new
According to the latest update, multiple new features are revealed, which include new live updates. Basically, it is an Apple Live Activities-inspired featue that was arrived with the iPhone 14 Pro.
In simple language, the features will provide the notification in a more intelligent manner so that you can easily monitor the activities like navigation, ride-hailing, and food delivery. The same feature also appeared on the One UI 7 as a Nowbar.
Google has also introduced more enhancement for the resizable windows on screens with 600 dp width or larger. Developers will be restricted from locking specific app window scaling and orientation.
Finally, the Android 16 beta 1 also brought native support for the Advanced Professional Video Codec for more enhancement to the video recoding and post production, supporting the resolution of up to 2Gps bitrate.
As far as stability is concerned, it is expected that the company could introduce the stable update in the years Q4, in between there will be three more public betas.
