Android 16 Developer Preview is live for Pixel devices
Google has taken a lot of time to introduce its latest major update, Android 15 Update, for its Pixel devices, which is already lag behind its usual timeline, but now the company is set to bring the software major update back on track with the early release of Android 16 Developer Preview for the devices.
Android 16 Developer Preview: What’s new
With the Android 16 Developer Preview, Google has brought several new changes for the devices and provided some new features, such as a photo picker, new abilities for health records, and Privacy Sandbox.
In detail, the health records allow you to read and write medical records in FHIR format with explicit user consent. The photo picker allows you to give the access permission of the photo picker selectively. Meanwhile, the privacy sandboxes provide enhancement to the security of the devices and strengthen user privacy.
Android 16 Developer preview: Availability and eligible devices
According to the information, the Android 16 Android preview is live for select Pixel devices, including Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6 a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 ProXL, and 9 Pro Fold. The update is now available for the devices; user can install the update by installing the preview version from the official site.
