The Asus ROG Phone 9 series utilized the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC chipset in this series, a chipset that is currently available in select flagship devices. This chipset comes with a 45% increase in CPU performance and a 40% improvement in GPU capabilities, giving the device better options in multitasking and gaming.
However, this chipset has also achieved a record-breaking AnTuTu score of 3,121,390. On the other hand, it relies on LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 for storage. This series can come with a single 24GB RAM and 1TB storage configuration.

Asus has claimed that the brand will give its device two major OS updates and five years of security updates. For optics, the brand has added a triple camera setup with a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 700 sensor as the primary lens in the device.
The setup also offers axis gimbal stabilization for better video stability. It also includes a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro sensor. On the other hand, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro includes a 32 MP 3x telephoto camera instead of a macro lens and also has zoom in and OIS. Both the devices have a 32 MP camera on the front.
The series is capable of getting support for 65W rapid charging and 15W Qi wireless charging with a large 5800 mAh battery. The series is also compatible with Quick Charge 5.0 and Power Delivery standards.
