The pandemic lockdown affected the economy of the country sending it into the worst recession since Independence. Influencing the industries demand and supply chains. Indian smartphone shipment declined for a third straight quarter, among supply constraints and lack of demand in industry. Overall Indian smartphone market declined by 4.8% (YoY). 

Surprisingly, even facing the loss by Xiaomi, the smartphone company was the market leader with 8.5 Million shipments. Not being outdone by Xiaomi, Samsung earned second place with 7 million. And the company, which has shown real growth is Realme by 6 million. 

As India is one of the biggest electronic markets, especially for smartphones, every company wants to enter it and the major challenge rises to it maintaining quality, quantity with variation and services to consumers. 

Realme is the only company which has exhibited yearly growth in India by 46.3%. Despite the lack of demand in the smartphone market and new 5G debuting. It managed to obtain the third place in the Indian Smartphone Market. The promising performance of the Realme assured its future in India.
