The Biggest Drawback Of ChatGPT Gets Solved 

ChatGPT, a term that refers to Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer, is a larger language model-based chatbot developed by OpenAI. When it debuted, we were only able to enable users to refine and steer a conversation towards a desired length, format, style, level of detail, and language. But now, OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, is offering a wide range of information and source links just to enhance the user’s experience. 

If the posts shared on X, formerly Twitter by @OpenAI, which is the official handle of OpenAI, are to be believed, which states that; 

“ChatGPT can now browse the internet to provide you with current and authoritative information, complete with direct links to sources. It is no longer limited to data before September 2021.” 

The statement is clearly indicating that now the ChatGPT will offer enough facilities as compared to the previous version. Now, the users will be able to browse the internet to provide them with recent and authoritative information, also complete with direct links to sources. 

Previously, the data was too limited, which was before September 2021; now, with the latest update, the users will be able to receive all the up-to-date information.

The most irritating drawback of the platform is that it was not up to date. While asking it something about before 2021, it gives the message to the users that – “I’m sorry, but as of my knowledge update in September 2021.., My information is not up to date, and I cannot provide opinions or information on products or events that have occurred after that date.”  

Finally, the drawback gets resolved with this innovation, and this purely leads to an enhanced and seamless experience. 

Another post on X, formerly Twitter, shared by @OpenAI, stated that; 

“Browsing is available to Plus and Enterprise users today, and we’ll expand to all users soon. To enable it, choose Browse with Bing in the selector under GPT-4.” 

By this statement, OpenAI is indicating that browsing is only available to Plus and Enterprise users today, and soon, it will make it available to as many users as possible. Also, if the users want to make ChatGPT more up-to-date for this, they just have to choose Browse with Bing in the selector under GPT-4. 

Whereas the users who have not subscribed to ChatGPT Plus will not see this option. But there’s a high expectation that free users will get this functionality as well. 

The other post states, “Since the original launch of browsing in May, we received useful feedback. Updates include following robots.txt and identifying user agents so sites can control how ChatGPT interacts with them.”

@OpenAI also disclosed that now browsing is particularly useful for tasks that need up-to-date information and details, for instance, helping users with technical research, trying to choose a bike, or even planning a vacation. 

In short, the OpenAI, through the latest update, resolves all the known drawbacks of ChatGPT and also offers the latest innovations for enhancing the user’s seamless and smooth experience.
