Google Photos changed “memories” to “moments”
Google Photos is now introducing a new design for its bottom bar, with the “Memories” tab being replaced by the new “Moments” tab. It only changes the name but retains its location and functionality. The feature will soon roll out to iOS devices.
Google introduced the “scrapbook” Memories tab last year to automatically organize your photos. Subsequently, the brand renamed it “Memories,” and it is now used by users to store photos, albums, documents, and other collections. The feature also cycles through recent images to make updates.
The Memories tab has now been renamed to Moments, which is an AI-powered feed, and no other changes have been made to it. It allows users to easily browse photos, great moments, and details, search, and share them with others. Apart from this, it also includes a three-tab bottom bar with photos, collections, and search.
This change will be released with version 7.9 of Google Photos for iOS devices. After this, this update will soon be rolled out to Android devices as well. However, “Sharing” has also recently received an update on Android devices.
