Recently, a new update has been released for Google Photos, and this new change will be seen on Pixel. This new change is the transparency of the status bar of Google Photos. This new design update has been done to connect more closely with Android devices, refine the aesthetics, and improve the user experience.

This new status bar transparency in Google Photos is going to come with Version 7.7. This transparency looks beautiful when the dark theme is enabled. Apart from this, the status bar is also lighter than the app when scrolling to the top of the app. However, no change is seen in its color.

The view of the transparent status bar is also full of annoyance when scrolling down in the photo lab. A shadow is used to note the day/date in the top right corner while browsing Google Photos. It can also reveal the difference between the improved effect in the Photos Tab and the original status bar.

On the other side, the contrast is still the same, but it looks better and less out of place. This app also fixes the issue of nothing being visible below the status bar when scrolling, while other apps can dock the status and app bar.
