The water durability of a device significantly depends on its water-repellent nature. Also, it depends on the specific device, as every phone has its own water repellent properties since some have higher protection while others are less protected. Ensure you verify this before purchasing the phone. In contrast, Samsung does offer water-repellent properties to its Galaxy models, while the newest Galaxy A35 5G is no different. The phone comes with an IP rating, but is it completely waterproof?

Samsung has offered an IP67 rating to the new Samsung Galaxy A35 5G, which means that the phone comes with certain water-repellent properties. Simultaneously, the water-repellent properties are denoted by an IP rating. While the IP, or Ingress Protection Rating, is the standard mark that is provided to a device when it’s tested for two ingresses, solid and liquid, respectively,.

The first digit following the IP rating signifies that the phone is protected against solid ingress, which is dust particles, while the second digit in an IP rating is for liquid ingress, which is water components. The higher the IP rating, the higher the protection. In terms of the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G, the phone has an IP67 rating, which means the first digit is 6, which indicates that the phone is highly capable of surviving in a dusty environment, making it perfectly dustproof.

On the flip side, the second digit in the IP rating of the Galaxy A35 5G is 7, which signifies that the phone is more or less capable of handling water pressure, making it probably a waterproof device. Hence, it’s proven that the latest Samsung Galaxy A35 5G is both dustproof and waterproof.
