Xiaomi Smartphone Security Flaws Found Many Vulnerabilities
Xiaomi has released HyperOS for its smartphones after MIUI 14. The company claims that the HyperOS includes some great security features, and with the help of these, the company is moving towards a new ecosystem through its devices. However, some dangerous security flaws have been noted in this software.
Xiaomi Security Vulnerablities
There are 20 vulnerabilities that have been found to affect Xiaomi devices, and it can also lead to the leaking of important information from devices, so it is important to fix these vulnerabilities immediately. The vulnerabilities found in Xiaomi smartphones by Mobile Security Company, affect MIUI as well as HyperOS. Here is a list of 12 apps that created security vulnerabilities –

- GetApps (com.xiaomi.mipicks)
- Mi Video (com.miui.videoplayer)
- MIUI Bluetooth (com.xiaomi.bluetooth)
- Phone Services (com.android.phone)
- Print Spooler (com.android.printspooler)
- Security (com.miui.securitycenter)
- Security Core Component (com.miui.securitycore)
- Settings (com.android.settings)
- ShareMe (com.xiaomi.midrop)
- System Tracing (com.android.traceur)
- Xiaomi Cloud (com.miui.cloudservice)
It is believed that Xiaomi’s patching these AOSP apps has created some security vulnerabilities. Hopefully, the company will fix all the vulnerabilities with an update soon. Microsoft had informed Xiaomi about these new problems.
Even though Xiaomi is one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world, its software often faces shortcomings. Furthermore, these flaws could be due to bugs in MIUI or any user interface. Nowadays, no system is 100% secure and hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
