Microsoft Xbox Game Store Is Ready To Launch In July For Android & iOS Both
Microsoft has been exploring some interesting ways to offer users a much more advanced experience. Meanwhile, the company has now officially announced that it will release its own Xbox Mobile Store. This gaming store will be available on both Android and iOS devices and will feature some interesting and popular games like Candy Crush, Minecraft, and many more.
Microsoft’s Xbox President confirmed that the company’s game store is arriving in July
Sarah Bond, the President of Microsoft Xbox, confirmed at the Bloomberg Technology Summit that the company’s own Mobile Store will arrive in July. This new initiative to introduce Microsoft’s gaming store is just a plan to create an alternative gaming store to Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store.
Moreover, the Xbox game store will also feature popular games like Candy Crush and Minecraft. After a while, this capability will be expanded to other partners who could take advantage of it, and partners, along with players, will be able to get a perfect game-centric experience.
The new Xbox Mobile game Store will be distributed to all through the web, though
Meanwhile, Bond further claimed that the Xbox game store will not be coming as a native mobile app; rather, it will initially begin on the web and later be distributed to all devices worldwide. Therefore, Microsoft could launch a dedicated app store on Android in any part of the world. Still, for Apple’s iOS, the situation is slightly tricky, as Apple only allows third-party app stores in the EU. Thus, releasing it on the Web will allow Microsoft to distribute its gaming store easily on iOS. However, how the game store will be distributed through the web is unclear.
