Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 will now come with AI capabilities

Qualcomm announced its new processor, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, on May 7th. This chipset processes 6nm and is based on Adreno for GPU. It is also claimed to have artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This chipset can be found in lower and mid-range smartphones. 


Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Emerged With AI Perfrmance

Qualcomm has announced that this new processor offers the best performance in romance in gaming and intelligence, giving the user a better experience. With AI capabilities, we can do many things quickly and accurately. This chipset is built on 64-bit architecture and includes Kryo CPU cores with a peak clock speed of 2.3 GHz. 

Additionally, it includes AI engines, including Qualcomm Hexagon Vector eXtensions, to deliver responsive performance. The chipset features a Qualcomm Sensing Hub with a low-power AI system that helps support hardware-accelerated always-on voice assistant, multi-mic far-field detection, echo cancellation, etc.

This chipset supports onboard 120fps gaming with the help of the Adreno GPU. The device will include LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 for storage. This chip can help the device’s display achieve a 120 Hz refresh rate and a full HD+ display. However, the smartphone can also support a 108 MP sensor for the camera. 

The chipset can be expected to have a triple 12-bit Spectra ISP setup that gives the device AI-enhanced low-light capturing capabilities and also supports video playback at a maximum resolution of 1080p at 60fps. Apart from this, it supports mmWave, sub-6 5G networks, X51 5G Modem-RF system, maximum download speed up to 2.5 Gbps, Fast Connect 6200 technology, and Bluetooth 5.2. 

Regarding other connections, the device also gets QZSS, Galileo, Beidou, GLONASS, NavIC, GPS, and USB Type-C support. It remains to be seen which device this chipset will be used in and when it comes to the market.
