WhatsApp Is Rolling Out A New In-App Dialer Feature, Which Is Available To Some Beta Testers

WhatsApp is constantly working on several features that significantly enhance the overall user experience. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is rolling out a new in-app dialer feature, which aims to make users’ lives easier by allowing them to call directly within the app without saving contacts. This feature is currently available to some beta testers.

As per the information shared by the WABetaInfo, spotted with the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.13.17 update, WhatsApp is rolling out a new in-app dialer that allows users to place calls quickly. A new floating action button within the calls tab has been added, facilitating access to the in-app dialer. This new feature will significantly allow users to make their WhatsApp calls directly without requiring them to save contacts.

Meanwhile, after entering the phone number, the user has the option to save it directly in their new contact or existing contact section. The dialer screen also has a message shortcut, which allows users to send a message to the phone number they intended to call instead.
Also, through this feature, WhatsApp aims to offer a new capability of the convenience of calling within the app to users without requiring them to follow the several steps of saving numbers to the phonebook. Plus, this new in-app dialer feature has started rolling out, is currently available to some beta testers, and will reach even more people in the coming days.
