OPPO Reno 12 5G Series Launched In India With AI-Generated Smart Feature

The Oppo Reno 12 5G series, including Oppo Reno 12 and Oppo Reno 12 Pro models, has been launched in India today. It includes a triple rear camera setup with GenAI integration, and many AI features like AI Eraser 2.0, AI LinkBoost, and AI Summary. The series will be sold in India via Flipkart on July 25. This series was launched in China on June 18.

OPPO Reno 12 5G Series Specification

The devices come with AI specifications and many new hardware improvements. The device includes a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+, 394 ppi pixel density, 120Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 1200 nits with the quad-curved screen. The Oppo Reno 12 gets the Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for screen protection, while the Oppo Reno 12 Pro features the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. 

Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 12 series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SOC, which is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which can be expanded via microSD card up to 1TB. The devices will rely on ColourOS 14.1, which is based on Android 14. The brand is promising three years of OD updates and four years of security updates. 

Both devices are getting IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro is available in Space Brown and Sunset Gold, while the Oppo Reno 12 is available in Astro Silver, Matte Brown, and Sunset Peach. Both devices use different lenses in the camera but have the same AI features, such as AI Summary, AI Record Summary, AI Clear Voice, AI Writer, AI Speak, AI Best Face, AI Eraser 2.0, etc. 

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5G houses a 50 MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with OIS, an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP Samsung S5KJN5 telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom, as well as a 50 MP Samsung S5KJN5 selfie camera. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 12 uses a 50 MP Sony LYT 600 primary camera with OIS, an 8 MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera, while it sports a 32 MP lens for selfies. 

Both devices pack a big 5000 mAh battery, which supports 80W SuperVOOC charging, and the brand claims that it will charge the battery from 1 to 100 % in just 46 minutes. The Oppo Reno 12 Pro measures 161.4 x 74.7 x 7.40 mm and weighs 180 gms, while the Oppo Reno 12 measures 161.4 x 74.1 x 7.6 mm and weighs 177 gms. Here are the pricing details of the device –
