Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements and file size after 1.5 patch update
CD Projekt published a massive Cyberpunk 2077 update yesterday that modified practically everything about it, from AI conduct to new environment components, driving upgrades, rebalanced abilities, additional flats to rent, and a whole lot more. It’s massive, and hopefully, it’ll enhance the experience in a commensurately organized fashion.
Something else that changed with the introduction of the 1.5 update is the Cyberpunk 2077 system requirements: Nvidia 700 series graphics cards, which were formerly part of the minimum requirements, are no longer supported.

Cyberpunk 2077 minimum system requirements for PC after 1.5 patch update revealed
“Due to the end of support for graphics drivers, we’ve decided to adjust the minimum system requirements of Nvidia graphics cards to GTX 970,” CDPR wrote in the 1.5 patch notes. “The game won’t necessarily cease operating on mentioned GPUs, but, we are no longer testing the game on Nvidia 700 Series graphics cards.”
Windows 7 support for Cyberpunk 2077 has also been withdrawn. Again, this doesn’t imply that Win7 users are instantly destined for banishment but the time is ticking.
The new minimum system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 after the 1.5 patch update as shown on Steam is:
- OS: Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470
- DirectX: Version 12
- Storage: 70 GB available space

Following the new patch update system requirements, the devs further stated, “Due to technical limitations of non-native DirectX 12 implementation on Windows 7, and the end of, or limited, support for graphics drivers, game updates will not be supporting Windows 7 after June 15, 2022. If updated with patches published after that time, the game may stop working on this operating system.”
As for what one should be playing on, they certainly would want to go for something slightly more powerful but if one is just starting into the game now, the previous system requirements will still hold up.
