Realme UI 4.0 Beta Program: Everything You Need To Know
Realme UI Beta Program is a development process for the new custom skin. In the process, the UI goes through the Early Access program and Open Beta program and finally rolls out the Stable software update for all users to enjoy bugs-free custom UI.
Recently, Realme has rolled out the Realme UI 4.0 Open beta update for a few of its eligible devices, Realme 8s5G, Realme 9 5G, and more. Plus company also released the official update for its Sept 2021 released Realme GT Neo 2 5G device with the firmware version RMX3370.11.F.03.
When Google releases its latest Android operating system, all smartphone brands upgrade their custom skin based on the latest Android version. Realme upgrades its custom skin as well. At the time of development, the Chinese tech giant first offered an Early Access program for its users to find bugs and make suggestions.

What Is The Realme UI Early Access Program?
Realme UI Early Access Program is a beta program that lets users experience the whole new features and improvements of the new Realme UI for the first time. It is an early software update process for only limited users, so there might be some bugs, and some apps might not work properly. So, we recommend that you do not install Realme UI Early Access software update on your primary phone.
What Is The Realme UI Open Beta Program?
After the Early Access Program, the company introduced the Open Beta program by inviting users to experience the new Realme UI custom skin features and changes in advance and collect feedback and suggestions to make Realme UI better.
How To Apply To Realme UI Early Access Program and Open Beta Program:
- Go to the device’s Settings
- Scroll down and tap Software Update
- Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner
- Select the Trial Version
- Then Submit your details
- Tap on Apply Now button
How To Roll Back To The Previous Version:
- Firstly, open the developer mode
- Then go to Settings of your phone
- Tap on the About phone
- Click on the “realme UI Software Version” at the top
- Here, click on the three dots in the top right corner
- Click on the Local Install
- Here, find and tap the rollback package to roll back to the previous version.

By entering recovery mode to roll back to the previous version:
- Firstly, turn off your phone
- Then long press the volume down and power buttons at the same time enter recovery mode
- Here, choose the language
- Tap on Install from storage
- Input your screen-locked password
- Finally, find & tap the rollback package to go back to the previous version.
What Is The Realme UI Stable update?
Realme UI Stable update is the final version of the latest Realme UI based on the latest Android version. If no bugs are found in the Open Beta program, the updated version will be rolled out for all users as the Stable version. There is no difference with stable updates if you are already in the Open Beta program.
The Stable update first comes with flagship smartphones, and the company regularly rolls out its mid-range to budget smartphones according to the Software update policy.

General Software Update Instructions:
- Firstly, make sure your phone is not rooted
- Please back up your personal data before the software update to prevent data loss.
- Please ensure that the available phone storage is sufficient according to the software guideline.
- Please make sure your phone battery is more than 60%.

In April, Realme released the Android 13 beta update based on Realme UI 3.0 to its flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 2 Pro, for Indian users. Later, the Chinese tech giant officially announced the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 Early Adopter program roadmap for some flagship smartphones in the home market of China.
