How to Schedule Auto Power on / off on Your Samsung Phone

It often happens that we have to switch on/off our smartphones. There can be many reasons for this like your phone is generating too much heat, lagging issues, app crashes, and many more. This is where Samsung can help a lot as its One UI schedules power on/off when needed.
With the Auto-power on/off feature, you can schedule when your smartphone will automatically on or switch off when needed. This feature helps to improve the device’s health and checks the hardware and software of the device by keeping them up to date.
How to Schedule Power on/off Samsung Mobile
To enable or schedule Auto-power on/off on your Samsung Devices running Android 13-based One UI 5.1, follow the steps given below:
- Open the Settings app on your Galaxy device.
- Scroll down and tap on the Battery and device care tab.

- Under the Additional Care section, tap on Auto Optimization.

- Turn on the Restart when needed toggle.

Alternatively, you can use Samsung’s Device Care application: open the Device Care app >> tap on the Auto-optimization >> turn the Restart when needed toggle on.
In case you are using a Samsung Galaxy device running Android 12-based One UI 4.1 you can opt for the steps mentioned below:
- Go to the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap on the Battery and device care tab.
- Tap on the three dots menu.
- Click on the Automation option.
- Click on the auto optimize daily.

On the other hand, you can even set a timer for the auto power on/off under the time section, schedule by selecting either of the given week.

Note that your phone will restart automatically within 1 hour of the time you set. Your phone will restart only when:
- The screen of your Galaxy device is off.
- You are not using the phone.
- The battery percentage is above 30%.
- And the SIM card lock is off.
