Samsung Deliver August 2023 Security Update for Galaxy S22

It’s only been a few days since August has started, and Samsung has already started rolling out its August 2023 security update to its Galaxy devices. And now the company has chosen the Galaxy S22 series for its latest August update but at the moment, in a few countries. Samsung previously released this new security patch for Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20 FE and some of the Galaxy Z series devices. 

August 2023 update for Galaxy S22 series has arrived with its own identification build number, which is the S90xEXXS6CWG9 firmware version. Since the company released this update for the Galaxy S22 series, which includes two more phones, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra as well, this update is only available in some Latin American countries, including Brazil, Chile, and Colombia. As soon as possible, before the end of this month, the company will make this update available for all the countries. 

This August 2023 update, according to Samsung’s security document page, has fixed over 85 security flaws. Out of that, 50 flaws are fixed by Google for all Android smartphones. And the rest, 35 by Samsung, only applies to Galaxy devices. 

This update brings improvements for better system security, so users will now get more safety and privacy and an enhanced secure experience. It also increases the stability and reliability of the device, which will help in flawless performance. However, the company said the August 2023 update would provide better image quality for captured images while using the primary camera in low-light scenarios. Still, unfortunately, this change does not appear with this update.
