Since September, Google has been gearing up to deliver something new within Google Photos. And finally, it is come to know about a new and radically different type of feature Google is currently testing for Google Photos.

Nowadays, the brand ‘Google’ is busy testing a new and radically different type of feature for enhancing the user’s experience. The new feature permits the users to set calendar reminders directly from within Google Photos. It seems unhoped, going off from features typically added to the platform.

Now, recent reports indicate that the @AssembleDebug has managed to authorise the feature within the latest version of Google Photos, which is v6.61, providing a first look at the reminder function in action.

If the reports are to be believed, then the brand-new reminder function within Google Photos can find and extract detailed information from photos and automatically turn it into an event in Google Calendar. For instance, in the scenario where the users are viewing a photo of an invitation or ticket, it will automatically prompt them to set a reminder for that particular event or trip. Google Photos will help the users by automatically filling in event details based on the photo’s content and also offer them a chance to edit the photo before saving it to the users’ calendar. The link to the original photo will also automatically be added to the event.

The prompt to set a reminder would not appear on each photo; it’s designed particularly for the users, along with text event information. It opens up new users for Google Photos beyond making an inventory of their selfies and trip images. This brand-new reminder feature will become equally useful for managing their physical tickets, invitations and bills. However, this new reminder feature is still in the developing stage and is not available for the users.
