OnePlus China President Louis Lee confirmed that the OnePlus 13 will feature Qualcomm’s upcoming latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which will enhance its performance. According to Lee,” It will usher in a new era for mobile phone chips, and this chip uses a self-developed dual-core architecture that brings a huge leap in performance that is unprecedented in a OnePlus device.”
Qualcomm says this upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip will launch on October 24. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset is believed to use a new 2+6 core setup and may include Nuvia cores. It is claimed to have a “Supercharged CPU” based on TSMC’s 3nm process. This chipset can exceed 4.0 GHz Clock speed and use NPU for AI.
Additionally, this upcoming chipset can feature class-leading memory, mm-Wave, sub-6GHz 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UWB, FastConnect 7900, and LPDDRX5 RAM. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4’s Adreno 830 is 25% faster than the previous one. It also gets a single-core score of 2884 and a multi-core score of 8840 on the Geekbench website.
