Chrome Users Can Now Experience News Voice in Background While Using Other App to Android

Google Chrome Voice Page for Android introduced a new update that allows users to listen articles while multitasking or using other apps. This update has been brought to make web content more accessible and enhance the overall browsing experience. However, it lacked background playback support, and the Google browser app will overcome it.
This feature was first spotted in June. According to 9to5Google, this new feature will be rolled out for Android devices with Chrome 130. After the update, Chrome will continue playback even if you turn off your phone’s screen or switch to another app.

It will also provide another notification control. The widget will provide Chrome with options for changing voice and speed. It will also show the title of the article and the website, but you will be provided with a widget in Chrome to change the playback speed or volume.
Users can find the listen to this page option in Chrome’s three-dot menu. To use this, go to the toolbar shortcut option in Chrome settings and select the listen to this page option. After this, you can also add a shortcut next to the bar.
