Galaxy S25 may be available with Qi2 charging support
Samsung has introduced wireless charging in its Galaxy S series devices since the Galaxy S6 edge; however, over time the company has significantly increased the charging capacity; for instance, the latest Galaxy S24 supports 15 W wireless charging. Now reportedly, the company could introduce a new Qi2 standard for with Galaxy S25 series.
Galaxy S25 series could be available with Qi2 charging standard
According to the report, Samsung could introduce the Qi2 standard wireless charging for the devices. With this standard, the device will simply come with the same magnets in the backside for wireless charger alignment and various other accessories. If this happens, the Galaxy S25 series will be the first to adopt the latest charging standard across Android devices.
However, some other reports suggest that this may not happen with the Galaxy S25 series devices, as the images of the transparent case raise doubts.
According to the recent leak, a new transparent Galaxy S25 magnet case was spotted with a clear case. if these are true cases, then it contradicts the Qi2 standard adoption as it doesn’t need any magnet cases.
This also indicates that Samsung may not provide the built-in Qi2 standard in their smartphone while the company may introduce the support with the dedicated cases. This same way of adapting Qi2 standard was also available in OnePlus 13 devices in China.
