With Android 12, Google introduced the “Performance class”, which is a new classification of devices according to technical specifications. The goal is to allow apps to “know” the device they are running on in order to offer the best possible experience.

To date, the following devices meet the requirements of “Performance Class 12”:

  • At least 6 GB of RAM
  • Minimum display resolution of 1080p with 400DPI
  • At least 12MP rear camera with support for 4K video recording at 30fps
  • 5MP front camera with support for 1080p video recording at 30fps
