How to search with Google Lens on iPhone?
Although you can easily find a separate Google Lens application on Android devices, unfortunately, iPhones don’t have the Lens app. Anyways, you can still configure the app through Google Photos. The first and probably the most used method of using Google Lens on iPhone is through the Google Photos application. If you don’t have the Google Photos app, you must head to your App Store and download the app.
- Once you have downloaded the Google Photos app on your iPhone.
- Open the application.
- While opening the app for the first time, it will ask you to access some necessary permissions. You must tap the “Allow Access to all Photos” option.
- Once you have given access to the permissions, your photos saved on your iPhone will automatically appear in Google Photos.
- Now, in order to use the Google Lens feature, tap to open the image that you want to search with the Lens.
- At the bottom, you will see the Google Lens icon; tap on it.
- Once you tap on the Google Lens icon, the whole illustration related to the image, similar pictures, and other image-related information will appear on the screen.
- You can choose from specific options that are mentioned on the bar above the similar photos, and these options include Translate, text, Search, shopping, places and more.

Using Google Lens with your iPhone Camera:
As mentioned earlier in this article, the iPhone doesn’t offer any dedicated Google Lens application, so to use it, you first need to download and install the app from the App Store. This method of searching for something through Google Lens using an iPhone camera is quick, and you can get results in no time.
- Once installed, open the Google Lens app on your iPhone.
- It will ask you to allow access to your iPhone camera, tap Enable camera and then select OK.
- Now, place your iPhone camera on the object you want to search through Google Lens.
- Tap on the Shutter button to capture the image and to get the search result.
- All the descriptions related to your picture will appear on the screen.
