Google Docs on the web is receiving a really nifty template for writing email with Gmail integration, as previewed in February. This is a part of Google’s @-menu and Smart Canvas programs.
These new templates will surely enhance the productivity and efficiency of users while using Google Docs. Let us now see how the feature works. This article will explain everything about this new introduction of email templates and Gmail integration.
Google Docs adds email template for joint drafting
Entering @email into docs.google.com (or selecting “Email drafts” beneath “Meeting notes”) will load a template with To, Cc, Bcc, and Subject lines. It is also accessible through Insert > Building Blocks > Email Draft.
@[person name] is supported in the recipient fields, and their email address is automatically filled in. Following that, you just work on the message body below, with commenting and ideas enabled.
The @-menu is a significant component of Workspace’s Smart Canvas initiative. It enables quick sharing/invitations and file links. It also functions as a formatting menu, allowing for the quick insertion of lists, media, dates, headers, and page components (such as counts, header/footer, and watermarks).
