According to the report via 9to5Google, the latest update for Google Messages brings a new option, “How you are seen,” in the Profile menu. Earlier this option was running in the beta stages for testing; now it is publicly starting to roll out.

For your information, with the new “how you are seen” option, you can limit the access to your profile data with these options:

People you message: With this option, your profile will be visible to people who have already had a conversation.

Only your contacts: It will limit the access of your profile to the people who have saved your contact list.

No One: With this option, you can completely restrict the profile info.
