Nothing Phone (1) Will Get Nothing OS 2.0 In Late August
The Nothing Phone (2) is all set to launch on July 11, and we already know a little bit about what’s to come. For example, it will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a 6.7-inch display, a 4,700 battery and a US launch. Ahead of its release, recently, the company has confirmed that Nothing OS 2.0 will arrive in late August for the Nothing Phone (1).
The Consumer tech giant earlier confirmed that the Nothing OS 2.0 will come within more elements of our Nothing visual identity and focus on intentional smartphone consumption. Mladen M. Hoyss, Nothing’s software creative director at the time, said that Nothing OS 2.0 would be coming to the Nothing phone (1) in the summer.
Recently, the company’s founder Carl Pei tweeted on his official Twitter account that Nothing OS 2.0 will arrive for Nothing Phone (1) users by the end of August. Meanwhile, it hints that the brand will continue to focus on improving the software experience for its first phone even after the release of the Nothing Phone (2).

With Nothing OS 2.0, Nothing’s focus will shift to a seamless mix of productivity, consumption and entertainment within the Nothing ecosystem. On the other hand, it needs to be clarified whether the upcoming Nothing OS 2.0 will be based on Android 14 or Android 13.
