Nothing Phone (1) June 2023 Update Rolling Out Adds RAM Expansion And Improve Face Unlock
As of now, Nothing is busy with the launch of its next upcoming premium smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2), which is scheduled to launch on July 11, but you can pre-order it from June 29. Meanwhile, the Consumer tech giant is rolling out a 1.5.5 update for its first phone, the Nothing Phone (1). It comes with many new features and fixes alongside a June 2023 security update for better device security.
Nothing Phone (1) has received the Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5.3 update, and you can install it via a package size of 114MB. As per the information, this update has already started rolling out and will be available to all Nothing Phone (1) users in the next few days.
The Nothing OS 1.5.5 update includes several new features and improvements, as mentioned in the changelog. The update improves Face Unlock performance by improving detection accuracy in the dark. Also, RAM expansion has been implemented, which increases the number of apps that can stay open in the background by 10%.
This update reduces Bluetooth power consumption when the device is on standby at night. Apart from these new features, this update also fixes some problems, including causing adaptive brightness, Face Unlock, and more.
