Galaxy S21 Gains July 2023 Security Update

Samsung’s July 2023 security update has reached some high-end and mid-range phones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy A53, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S22, and Galaxy S23. The South Korean firm has started rolling out its new security update to the Galaxy S21 series.

The July 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra can identify via PDA versions G991BXXS9EWF3, G996BXXS9EWF3, and G998BXXS9EWF3, respectively. The update is being rolled out in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. The company will expand the update to more countries in the coming days or weeks.

According to the information, the latest release for Galaxy S21 devices comes with performance improvements and the most up-to-date Android security patch. The July 2023 security patch brings fixes for 3 critical and 49 high levels of CVEs for the Android operating system. However, the company developers had already spotted and fixed 3 CVEs through previous updates, while 1 is not applicable on Galaxy devices.
