Google has returned with a big bang. It has given a lot of updates this year, but this one is the most different. The brand is introducing a new feature for Google contacts, which will show the contact’s temperature and condition in both visually and textually manner.

Google has rolled out its latest update for Contacts, which is available today. This feature will tell the local time, location along with weather conditions.

Earlier, when users opened a contact’s information page, they saw four options under the name of the contact; Call, Text, Video, and Direction. The map was opened by tapping the direction option, and its location was shown. But now, with this latest update, the app will show a card indicating the city and current contact time, along with temperature and weather conditions.

Moreover, tapping on the card does not show a full forecast; for instance, tapping on weather will not take to the weather application, which is a convenient enough scheme provided to the users. Google Contacts claims that the weather data comes from weather.com.

However, the feature is not convenient for nearby contacts because the app needs to display time and weather information that is close. Apart from this, the overflow menu will allow the users to edit the address through a shortcut.

All this information, local time, and weather conditions will be more convenient and helpful before calling or texting somebody. Now even before calling, the users will know where the other person is and how the mood of the place, which will enhance the user’s calling experience.
